I find anything in plastic is easy to handle - just out of the shopping bag and surface spray wipe - then in the fridge

cardboard is harder - but, manageable


Fruit- very fast wash under hot water - soapy if possible


Bread - zap or oven just to get the temp up - it doesn’t take much temp to nut this sucker
