If you look at the history of Monticello Planning Area oil and gas statistics (http://www.blm.gov/utah/monticello/MEDP.pdf), you will see that the huge Lisbon field is the only one of 75 fields to be producing from the Leadville Limestone /McCracken dolomite formations.
69 of the 75 fields produce from the Ismay and Desert Creek formations, including the huge Greater Aneth. 2 abandoned from the Akah formations and 3 from Honaker Trail.
Now have a look at GDN, their intervals of major gas intervals are in the Alkali Gulch dolomite and Pinkerton Trail limestone. Neither Alkali nor Pinkerton are referenced as producting formations in the gas field statistics.
To date, other research tonight says that less than 10% of wells into Leadville/McCracken have been successful.
If Alkali Gulch and Pinkerton have broken the pattern, then let's get through the Leadville Limestone and McCracken dolomite. Because the game is still on despite stop loss, big hitters shaking stock out. etc
