My view on women's professional sport is roughly the following. The feminist principle of equality is based around equal competence. Women are not equally competent at sport so they have no inherent right to equal pay. Men's sport is the "open" event, women's sport is the protected event. Where there is a male league with very high salaries there's a public interest in establishing viable professional leagues for women, even if that means some cross subsidisation from the male code. Women's sport is neither inherently fantastic or a load of crap that only the woke are interested in. People can choose to watch what they want, preferably free of a fantasised political connotation to that choice.
