drbrooks - when FAR first ann the gambia deal i wondered why would Erin take such a deal given SNE was discovered and growing with each drillhole - i would have thought in terms of shareholder value Erin would have been and should have got 30-40%?? FAR did say though they had long been in discussion with them and had got to know them pretty well. 20% can only mean to me that Erin saw the huge advantage FAR were offering to get to the goal posts the quickest and were happier with 20% with a Co in the box seat rather than another biggie from USA, UK, France or such, who would then stuff around AND clip admin costs from Erin by the big JV partner which can give small Cos grief. it seems the only logical reason to me because on the face of it 20% is a poor deal for Erin shareholders.
