Lithium - the most amazing element. Atomic number 3 - one more than helium and two more than hydrogen. The lightest solid. The lightest metal. Used in medicine for longer than almost all drugs. Now in batteries with the highest energy density to weight ratios and the fastest recharge rates currently practical.The future for lithium - exotic lightweight high strength metal alloys, and refractory glasses and ceramics.
So much potential.
