The vote has to go to the people and let the people decide whether the term "marriage" should be trashed and just become a term used to describe a union of any kind...
How can an MP honestly vote impartially if he / she is homosexual or lesbian? I doubt Penny Wong would vote against it, I doubt Trevor Evans, Tim Wilson or Trent Zimmerman also would vote against it...so in this case would these homosexual MP's abstain from voting? Pffft can't see it, they'll be all over it!
Can the Parliament guarantee us that the Schools won't become the next battle ground for the LBGTI mob to start on changing the curriculum to accommodate their odd views? Can they assure us that the genders won't be dropped from all future teachings?

I think I prefer; "Do you Fred take this woman Josephine to be your lawfully wedded wife"...let the LBGTI mob find their own word to describe their "union"...
The theft of the marriage word is just the thin edge of the wedge...it really leaves me speechless why people can't see that?
