Hi All4One. I wrote a post above about Tony Abbott's wife being open to gay marriage, and his daughters being supportive of it. I imagine they are pretty strong Catholics, too. I know of many Catholics who are supportive of my relationship at least- I come from families with strong Catholic ties- an Aunty who was a nun, etc. I think there is a dilemma for Catholics- conflicted about what they- and me- have always heard, but having an emotional change of heart when they know people who have homosexual relationships, and just love the couple, and are very supportive.
When it comes to "people in high places" who are public conservatives, but loving, I know this well. People might be surprised at how much supportive there is, by those who the nation wouldn't think were supportive. I think Tony will travel his own personal journey on this.
