BNW your maths is correct, but as always, that is the vein. The two samples where taken from the intermediate zone, that is where two separate veins merge, the Cascavel vein and the Mestre vein. From the sampling so far, the Mestre vein looks to be much higher grade than the Cascavel vein. There is a video somewhere explaining more about it,, will see if I can find a link. Not really sure as to why 3kg, I would think it is what fits in the pan. But the reason for the panning of the vein samples is to save money. The company can not afford ALS sampling at the moment, and there is no one to run our lab for now. It gives a good indication as to the grade of the vein, then they can add in the dilution to get an idea of what the grade to the plant will be.
