Seems Samsung are betting big on Quantum Dots with their new SUHD Quantum Dot Display TV's, even buying out company's. It would not surprise me if they were looking in to Dotz Nano but that's just a guess. Our high purity and High Yield Quantum Dots, which would be used for TV's are far superior than others in this space at >65% yield. The high quality QD's sell for $2.2m-$2.5m per kg so looks like right space at the right time.

At the roadshows I came away with the feeling that DTZ GQD's in TVs were a couple of years away but going by the higher yield announcement, 25kg per year announcement, DTZ going into higher production in coming weeks and Samsung etc being active now I wouldn't be surprised if things have escalated quickly with DTZ. From what I have been told, the Quantum Dot industry produced 100kg last year and DTZ can now produce 25kg of that at a higher yield and purity.

Interestingly also is Quantum Dots reduce power usage (see below link) and I have also asked around the industry re the $10k/kg for low grade QD's and apparently it's a false rumour - nobody knows the cost and it is being kept under wraps but I was left with the feeling it is significantly higher than that.

I also love the milestones this company has set themselves, no piddly little easy to get targets and it is worth reading the prospectus again. If things play out as I imagine the SP should be multiples from here once the register tightens, especially with only 110m SOI, 49m free float.

    Some useful links:

Interesting that Samsung are "promoting" these tweets themselves also, I wonder who is supplying them with QD's? We are going in to larger production so I will be watching carefully. Perhaps we will also see Quantum Dot Tablets and Phones?

Anyway, it may or may not happen but right space right time in a multi billion dollar industry and going into full scale production early means I'm happy to hold this as a long term investment. Picking up low hanging fruit industries for GQDs while also having the Display Market in the background, I'm Looking to buy more.

This is all IMO so DYOR. I suggest re reading anns, I don't think the market has actually caught on to DTZ yet. Just need some concrete news soon, hopefully in the way of customers for SP to appreciate.
