    Hi BlG,
    It's worth mentioning that many of the big companies have been doing their own research into neuromorphic computing for years.
    Even if they manage to get their hands on a commercial neuromorphic chip, they need to research the best materials and designs for their specific use case.
    For example, suppose they want to integrate a neuromorphic chip into an ordinary t-shirt to make it do smart things like detecting body heat. You could stitch a chip to a shirt but it wouldn't do anything useful. Instead you'd need to research stretchy or bendy materials that could be weaved into the shirt or something of the like. Brainchip isn't currently developing this type of technology so it's up to the individual companies to find solutions themselves.

    Same thing with other neuromorphic devices. Brainchip will provide the brains for most applications but it may need some customisation to suit their specific use case. Research institutions like Harvard can be useful here.
