Who knows what will happen from here or what has been happening behind the scenes over recent months but I do still feel we need to be realistic about a particular mobile brand.

Whilst anything is obviously possible, at this stage of the tech development process it is unlikely - here is some links on recent Samsung activity.

There is no doubt they are looking to head down the path of eye based biometrics but all indicators and commentary are around iris based at this stage.

Especially now that they have purchased LoopPay they will want some additional biometric security as like Apple have but probably with some point of differentiation.

Now, this is not to say that it can't be changed to corneal as from what I have researched about WBT tech and Samsung hardware, the basis of capturing the image, HD wise through a telecentric lens etc are covered in both patents so time will tell.
