"There are rumours of an impending takeover of Australian beer maker Lion Nathan. According to market speculation, Filipino giant San Miguel may acquire Kirin's 46% stake in Lion, on the way to making a full takeover bid. Kirin, which also owns 20% of San Miguel, has reportedly been irritated with Lion since the brewer offloaded its Chinese division in 2004, and may be willing to do an equity-trade deal. Analysts expect that San Miguel would offer up to $A9 per share, valuing Lion at $A5bn. The stock hit $A8.38 on 24 August 2005." Any thoughts on this? Thanx
