A little research leads to the conclusion that the aim of the government of Israel, and a large segment of their Jewish population, is to remove all Palestinians from Gaza and annex it. The current stage is to make Gaza unliveable for its current population in order to motivate efforts to have them emigrate elsewhere as refugees. October 6th was a godsend to the government, if in fact it didn't actually plan it
