Sanctions on Russia, & Russian Retaliatory Energy "Blackmail" on EU etc.; & other Halts To Coal Supply.

Indonesia, the world's biggest coal exporter, has today placed an export ban on 48 of its 71 coal producers. This, obviously, will place great pressure on coal supplies (both thermal & met) around the world.

The price of coal has tripled this year and old mining communities have been resuscitated as Europe in particular seeks alternative energy supplies outside of Russia with plenty of business going to Indonesia.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is now predicting an all-time-high coal demand this year of about 8bn tons after an increase in requirements last year of 5.8% year-on-year"

Furthermore, together with the total bans on Russian coal exports, which formally started on 10.8.22, by the EU, UK, Britain, Japan etc (brutal Ukraine invasion), there will, be additional shortages of world-wide coal supplies.
This is occurring whilst demand for coal is INCREASING in many countries (who are switching to coal-fired power, due to sanctions on Russia/ major shortages of gas in the EU, UK, etc.).

These geopolitical events make reliable coal exporters very highly regarded, & valuable around the world. This bodes well for BCB (which is increasing its exports), & its shareholders.
