I think it's quite logical to say people are buying because drilling will start soon. I'm yet to hear/read of someone saying "better get out because drilling is going to start soon". It tends to be a driver of buying activity rather than seller. People could be selling for any number of reasons (most likely to me being they bought under ~9c and are taking a quick profit into a rising SP); highly unlikely the reason is the one you put forward.
So I think that might be their point. If you were going to say "people are selling because results are due soon" I'd be more likely to agree with you.
