Sydney - Tuesday - May 15: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Ausdrill Ltd (ASX code: ASL) today announced it had "received a
confidential approach from a party with assets of approximately $2
billion which could lead to an offer or a proposal being put to Ausdrill
shareholders for all of the shares in Ausdrill".
Such an offer is subject to a number of conditions, including
satisfactory due diligence and negotiation of a merger implementation
agreement, so Ausdrill says there is no certainty the approach will
develop any further or lead to an offer or proposal.
The announcement was made after the close of trading.
