Some thoughts about the interview, I was puzzled with the statement "With the" BlueGen "the first natural gas-powered fuel cell unit can be for the boiler room behind the field test phase and is available now for customers. The first 100 units, we were able to settle in the shortest possible time,"
Sanevo is also has installed/installing 400 Whispergen units: (http://www.bhkw-prinz.de/whispergen-mikro-bhkw-mit-stirlingmotor/10)as part of the Brenstoffenzelle Initiative. The comments underneath indicate some considerable dissatisfaction by some customers (use Google translate eg: C Quirk 20.02.12) Gert Studer has had a big job managing this IMHO! It would seem that CFU have a winner in the field.
also from:16/Jan/12(http://www.bhkw-prinz.de/ceramic-fuel-cells-limited-bluegen-brennstoffzelle/659)
It seems 4 Field trials are in progress:
"BlueGen field trials in Germany
EWE AG: The North German energy provider EWE has ordered three BlueGen plants that CFCL is yet to deliver this year to EWE. EWE has been working together since 2005 and with CFCL is the BlueGen units in single family homes in northwest Germany as part of a field test install and operate.
E.ON Ruhrgas: The Essenes in the 2nd Quarter of 2010, a BlueGen unit in a test-meal budget install.
Rhein Energie AG: The new small fuel cell system of the type "Blue Gene" is to be delivered in April. The fuel cell will be installed and operated in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. The aim is to test them on practicality for a possible later use at the RheinEnergie customers.
Alliander: local operators in Heinberg, adjacent to the German production site of CFCL has signed a cooperation agreement in February with the company. The plant is ordered BlueGen CFCL in April 2010 to deliver Alliander. Alliander the BlueGen system is installed in a building in its industry Oberbruch, then test for everyday use, so try competence in dealing with the new technology building. Simultaneously, the pilot plant is used as a demonstration for customers and potential partners in the region. "
It seems based on Sanevo's experience that CFU should see some acceleration in sales IMHO.
This is also I think very strategic timing for the 10 CHP Conference Hannover, good coverage with stakeholders professional specifiers and potential customers.
