Yes the trucking companies are doing poorly. It may be the case that the railways are doing well. But they tend to shift different sorts of products. The railways are used for transport of bulk products. With the drought hitting American agriculture, the amount being transported by rail could be dropping sharply. And by value, the amount the railways shift is minuscule compared to other transportation modes.
