everyday I hear people whinge they the DOW was down x% yet we were down more than that.
People you should look at S&P500 instead, as for the DOW its really stupid as it only has 30 shares, also our ASX200 has being exposure to Materials which tends to fall further than say a McDonalds or Walmart or Google
