ok then airpoe, with respect, it is frustrating how we go up half as much as the s&p 500 when it goes up, and then fall as much or more when it goes down. is that better?

Hypomaster, well said, a good trading strategy. Stops emotion entering into a trade.
Sometimes i buy maybe one stock per day trying to pick a bottom for e.g. MTS yesterday. QBE today, only a half an investment in each.
But do we buy RIO today at $56? could be once in a decade opp.
I dont hold RIO btw.
