Biggest rule for me is don't gamble more than you can afford to lose. I don't stress over money. If I was spending what I can't afford, or giving myself stupid notions/delusions of grandeur about becoming the next Warren buffet overnight, based on HotCopper posts, that would be a problem. I also believe patience is a reward, I'd rather spend time in the market than trying to time it, right across my portfolio.
