Read between the lines, this company has tenants that could be the next big thing, hardly scatched the surface! What they have found so far could be peanuts.

    Twin Hills Project

    EPMs 8693, 4459, 12012 and 14585 (100%)

The Twin Hills epithermal gold project lies in Central Eastern Queensland's Drummond Basin and is situated 250 kilometres south of Charters Towers and 120 kilometres north of Clermont. Over the last 25 years this geological province has had an outstanding history in gold discovery and production - primarily from epithermal-style mineralisation. Significant gold producers include Newmont's current Pajingo-Vera Nancy Mine (4Moz) and past operations at the Wirralie Mine (0.7Moz), Yandan Mine (0.6Moz) and Mt Coolon Mine (0.3Moz).

BMA Gold Limited's four adjoining Exploration Permits extend 43 kilometres and cover some 350 square kilometres along the western margin of the Anakie Inlier in the Drummond Basin. Within this region, BMA's belt of epithermal mineralisation represents a largely unexplored district. Early drilling by BMA within EPM 8693 confirmed two high grade epithermal gold deposits, known as Lone Sister and the 309 Deposit. These are seven kilometres apart and lie one kilometre to the west of the sealed Gregory Development Road. Following an extensive infill drilling and evaluation programme of these Deposits in 2004, BMA has now determined a JORC compliant resource estimate, completed a feasibility study for mine development and implemented a staged development strategy. Following grant of Mining lease 70316 Stage 1 for development of the 309 Mine commenced in March 2005 and is now well under way with the first gold expected to be poured towards the beginning of the last quarter of 2005. Details of development of the 309 Mine can be viewed on this site under Operations.

To the south of EPM 8693 (Twin Hills) lies BMA's Dingo Range permit area, EPM 4459, and a further permit area, EPM 12012 (Willesby), wraps around the Twin Hills and Dingo Range areas on the western flank. Located south of EPM 12012 is BMA's EPM 14585 (Frankfield).

Geochemical, outcrop and assay data are being used in BMA's exploration programme on these tenements that is being run in parallel with mine development work.

Several key targets showing the pronounced characteristics of epithermal gold deposits have been identified and are recommended for drilling. Outcropping areas in the high priority prospects exhibit combinations of encouraging geological features including chalcedony-flooding, hydrothermal eruption breccias, sinters, gossanous bands, adularia, colloform silica and 'rehealed' silica fractures.

Early exploration efforts by previous owners, Metana Minerals Limited and Plutonic Operations Limited are being built on. Of particular interest is EPM 12012 (Willesby) which has remained untouched for more than 15 years and the Company considers it very promising. Magnetic lows showing areas where magnetite has been destroyed by hydrothermal activity and high resistivity zones showing where unconductive and potentially gold-bearing 'walls' of silica are present, are considered valuable geophysical guides to BMA's exploration of the Twin Hills Epithermal Belt.

    Dingo Range - EPM 4459

Gold mineralisation discovered during reconnaissance along the boundary of EPM 4459 has been costeaned. It comprises or an outcropping epithermal vein system splayed from the eastern side of the main NNE trending structure and has returned highly significant values of 0.92, 0.73, 0.37 and 0.28 g/t Au in costean samples. The splay veins are up to 30cm wide in an alteration zone that is at least four metres wide, trending north-easterly, that contains anomalous gold values. This type of mineralisation is the same as the Lone Sister and the 309 Deposit and the find represents an attractive target for early drilling.

    Twin Hills - EPM 8693

Three targets, first mapped by Plutonic Operations Limited and lying within two kilometers of the 309 Deposit have been assessed with high priority - West Microwave, Skyline and East Skyline prospects.

At West Microwave, 300 metres by 10 metres chalcedonic breccia follows a linear fault. Previous shallow percussion holes targeted the sinter zone which is interpreted to lie above a potential gold mineralisation. The Skyline prospect has a 50 metre by 100 metre area of brecciation, chalcedonic flooding and rehealing and is recommended for surface geochemistry and drilling. East Skyline is the closest to the 309 Deposit and has two promising epithermal structures. At surface these present as a silica cap that could overly high-grade gold with an increasing footprint at depth, as is the 309 Deposit itself.

    Willesby - EPM 12012

Detailed prospect mapping of the Bendee, Telegraph Creek and Off Limits prospects within EPM 12012 has been conducted using geologists highly experienced in gold exploration.

The Bendee system extends over a strike length of 1.25 kilometres and has extensive massive chalcedony and colloform veining with gossanous veins and adularia. The field team ranks this prospect highly and has recommended six holes for 720 metres of drilling, targeting these features at a point where their occurrence is widest. At the Telephone Creek prospect similar features have been found in a broad, gravel-covered gully which will be trenched to resolve a drilling target.

    Frankfield - EPM 14585

This permit area comprises 13 sub-blocks and is located south of EPM 12012 (Willesby). An exploration programme by BMA is yet to commence.

Geological Setting of the Twin Hills Gold Mineralisation

The Drummond Basin was an extensional back-arc basin during the Late Palaeozoic and the New England Orogen. The Lolworth-Ravenswood Block in the West and the Anakie Inlier in the East were then basement highs and their rocks now distinguish the two major domains of the Drummond. As with other Drummond Basin epithermal deposits Twin Hills sits on the margins of the Anakie Inlier.

Rocks of the Drummond Basin can be grouped into three tectonic cycles. Cycle 1 consists of primary volcanics and volcaniclastics that represent the initial rifting phase of the basin's evolution. Cycle 2 is characterised by quartzose sandstone derived from surrounding cratonic land masses flanking the marine basin. Volcaniclastics are typical of Cycle 3. Both the Lone Sister and the 309 Deposit mineralisation at Twin Hills are hosted within Cycle 1 basal strata, the same unit that hosts the economically important Pajingo/Vera Nancy, Wirralie, Yandan and Mt Coolon gold deposits.
