Received a massive boost in a report in the AFR last weekend, picked out as the mining infrastructure/engineering firm to watch as its p/e is so low. There was also some suggestion they had some cash to use to bring down a bit of their massive debt - basically two positives have taken a few days to seep through to some reasonable sentiment. Not saying these are the definitive reasons, just a suggestion.
