How dissapointing, at 7000ft looking off into the distance about 18km away, the mine will barely be visible. You can imagine the kids cramming up to the plane window to get a view of the "tonka trucks" in the mine...but it will be too far off to see much.
I can understand that some of the 16 people who donated to the fund to oppose the mine, who are set financially, dont want to see the area change, and dont care about jobs or the other benefits to NZ. Pity that the bullshit arguments they need to invent to justify their opposition appeal to a few greenie types (perhaps Plough is one) who dont bother to find out what the mine proposal actually is, and dont care.
Luckily there are very few who oppose the mine, and it doesnt take much investigation to find that their arguments have very little merit, and virtually no support.
