Interesting you make claims about "long term scenery destruction" when the area of the open pit can be easily found on "Maps" on an android phone in a few seconds simply by putting in the search box " Come In Time Stamper Battery" which takes Maps straight to New Zealand to within a km and a half of the area, which is to the South East of the battery.

Switch on sattelite view and you can see all the drill access roads, drill pads, and even a drill rig working away. You cannot mistake the area in question, nestled in the hills out in the back of buggery out of sight of everywhere.

You can even check by clicking on one of the main roads to the north or south of the area and using street view...the range of hills that the mining area is nestled amongst is far off, and the mining area completely invisible from all points you may select.

There are no houses or settlements for kms in any direction. The battery feature on maps has many photographs of the area giving you an idea of what the terrain and vegetation is like in the area, and its mongrel scungy country probably only good for grazing goats or a hardy sheep breed.

Scenic destruction? What a load of bullshit. Noone can even see the area unless your right on top of it.
