The company says that the $1.5 B is for growth not to pay off debt and I see no reason to doubt their word. They plan to grow their way out of debt. So what could be on the shopping list? I see PNG as the location of the target(s) because there is nothing to match the PNG LNG project in terms of profit and future development going forward. Lowest cost area, in the centre of a region that will need 40% LNG in the next decade or so, and very high in LNG. So I reckon that STO will be buying in PNG but what will they buy? Repsol hinted it wanted out of PNG and it's drilling success rate has been poor. Could STO be after Respol's interests? Any thoughts on the shopping list??
