I reckon the whole reason for the article is that Santos is about to do a Capital Raising - and the last thing you do before a CR i flag how your intentions.

I think the real most important words in the article are ( We are happy with our ESG holding) "at this stage"

Let's see what happens after Santos completes its capital raising.

I think it is going to tap the market for another $3 billion dollars in the not too distant future.
