The Bell was tolled with this statement by Nervous

"..fears another deal may not arrive"

I assume that Nervous has now handed the Baton back to Yaqona for the final leg to the finish line.

We should acknowledge that Nervous has been courageous, imaginative and unswerving up to now in his fully formed embedded cult like belief that the Other-Bidders ,like the Cargo Cultism of PNG, will rescue ESG and give us vast wealth in exchange for our precious shares.

After almost 4 weeks The WiseMen Crew have run the gamut of the 5 stages of the Kubler Ross continuum to now have fully reached ACCEPTANCE , so we need to move on and consider Santos as our de-facto home.

If you dont want Santos then the Market will accommodate you at the time you choose.

If we want Santos shares then we can just Hold
(and by that passive action also wait for a superior offer if it ever comes.) That is the Optionality we now have.

Some holders have already visited the STO forum which has very little activity as the imaginative possibilities are fewer for a big company and dont exite the minds of too many

One thing that has cropped up in the last few days is that Political strange game of an "Alliance" between Tony Abbott, Barnaby Joyce , Bob Brown , Drew Hutton in concert against the gas companies for simply following the existing Law and demanding their rights to explore and exploit in accordance with their Licences in order to contribute $Bns in GDP, pay Royalties and later the PRRT so various governments can distribute manna to voters.

This "Alliance" seems to support the LockTheGate ethos which is in effect the landholder with surface rights telling governments to go jump as they wont be getting their sub-surface rights - the minerals and the petroleum products.

Who knows where this will end up and what effect it will have on the Gladstone projects and NSW CSG.

Maybe the landholders just want more money as they are rational unlike the Eco-Loons and some politicians who just want a Wedge issue.

It is a tricky time and we should remain vigilant.

Anyway we can use this Topic to keep a weather eye on the Santos.

We can highlight the good and some not so good aspects of being part of the Santos LNG transformation

    Cheers
