IMHO some people with suspcious minds may think todays trading activity was just someone buying there own shares, which could be done quite cheaply, to generate some interest in this stock.
The persistent bid being withdrawn just before final close for the day, is a little bit irratating, but also helps warn people to keep away from this stock.
Buyers Beware I say.
