Yachty
good point
so lets not look at the end of the life of the wells, lets look at the beginning
http://www.ga.gov.au/image_cache/GA9147.pdf
page 18
Mereenie
by the end of 86
22 exploration wells
14 production wells
page 9 or 15(in pdf reader)
Oil production from the Mereenie accumulation commenced in June 1984 at
a rate of 238 m3 per day (1500 bbl per day). Production started from the East
Mereenie Pacoota Sandstone trap, and increased to 476 m3 per day (3000 bbl per
day) when the Mereenie Pacoota Sandstone trap was brought into production
Up to 31 December 1985, the cumulative production from the basin stood at
156.3 x 103m3 of oil and condensate, and 44.0 x 106m3 of gas.
now that did include palmvalley
so total production wells
palm valley 4 development wells
I think thats it.
so from 72 - 86 (given a constant number of producing wells which off course there were not as they were added too as they were discovered and brought on line) that 156.3 /14 (number of years)= 11.164 p.a
11.164 / 18 (producing wells) = 0.6202380
620 m3 per day roughly = 3907 barrels per day roughly
please feel free to correct
