Management will now come out with some asset sales announcements.

And yes $6.88 is obviously what the buyers consider cheap enough for them to buy the company, carve it up, sell the parts off for a much bigger profit. They don't do this for free.
You gotta figure there's a couple bucks a share in it for them.
