I disagree and I think you missed my point. Costs went sky high because the industry was stretched past its limit in a business environment which was already overloaded. Do that in a remote place in the US and see what happens. Do it in Qatar.. ditto. Cost blowouts exacerbated the situation and were caused by a ridiculous contracting environment. If you think costs in Australia are generically 2.5 times anywhere else I'd like to see your evidence. I have been in this industry for a long time, both here and internationally and I see no evidence to support that assertation. Companies made bad decisions during the boom and Australian industry carried the can for those decisions. It is very convenient for those same companies to peddle the line that Australia is an expensive place to build LNG plants when they are the ones who created the situation in the first place.
