    Furthermore the assertion made by a few that Buffalo is high capex is blatantly false. In fact very low capex by offshore standards in total, and also in capex per bbl or in capex per bopd terms. Much lower capital intensity than Dorado, LOL.

    I still prefer to see it farmed out, but if there’s 31 mmbo there, then it’s going to be extremely lucrative with an extremely quick payback on very modest outlay. Nothing about it spells expensive. There is next to no gas to deal with, wells aren’t deep, water depth is shallow, pressures are modest, oil quality is excellent, well productivity good. I expect most second hand or lease FPSOs would be able to service practically it as is. One only has to look at the old BHP development to see cheap written all over it.
