You dont appear to understand what i wrote.

I didnt say market people were always right - 'market pundits ' are wrong frequently

i said the 'dominant narrative; has become the global oil surplus/ US net oil surplus outlook. And because of that the market setters who wanted to push oil down are getting their way

Ive outlined whats driving the market. I;ve agreed it could be wrong.

However my experience of resource commodities is that when they reset their price range it takes a long time for them to move back to where they were before - usually it needs a new economic cycle - 5-10 years.

And in the meantime stocks like STO will see huge volatility with little meaningful upside to compensate.

Even if you want to go long and supposedly 'contrarian' youll notice the people like Buffet dont buy contrarian in peak of crisis. He buys while fear is still present but the bottom has been hit.

eg the railroad buy, goldman sachs bailout etc.

and ive never heard of him buying resources stocks.

but anyway - ive given you food for thought.
