There is a fear expressed by some investors that a significant number of residents of aged care homes may die from the coronavirus and the empty rooms will not be filled because people in need of these facilities will be reluctant to enter an aged care home.

My view is the opposite. I think old people cared for by relatives or by home care workers are in great risk of catching the virus because there will be visitors and cleaners and food delivery people coming to their homes potentially carrying the virus.

Aged care homes like Regis have a strict regime to ensure their homes are as virus free as is possible. Once it becomes evident that the safest place for old people is an aged care home I feel there will be a good increase in occupancy
