Piggy, you'll find this... coincidence is very wide-spread. Funny that, ey? It's also a little unfair to select fragments of my thoughts outside their context. I've said very often that the two parties inthe States -as they also are here- are damned near identical, if you look at the moderates. The extremes, of course are widely separated but the moderates of both parties are almost identical. Having said that, "moderates" in the American context is not necessarily the sort of "moderate" I am... but you'd know about that already. I see neither of these guys -MacCain or Obama not continuing the US foreign policy of world hegemony, in a most thuggish way. I can't see them helping solve the Israel-Palestine problem and I can fear that a new -or even several- war front is rising in their horizon. I see neither of them looking at the common punter in the US and feeling some sympathy towards him or some duty to make his access to medical services, to education, to housing, to employment, any better. All American politicians -as I believe aussie ones also- are mere puppets, connected to audio-visial equipment that put words in their mouths. So, no, I'm a cynic, when it comes to politicians -what the colout they clothe their policies in. Can't even remember the post on Raser in Unleashed. Geez you go back a long way!
