I always keep an eye out for any catalyst that could affect my invested capital. Sharply rising ski slopes on a chart for example, without the fundamental’s as the catalyst to back it up cause concern and I watch closely for an exit point for when that inevitable collapse occurs. Sharp falls will Inevitably overshoot creating opportunities, if the fundamentals are sound, then I will return after confirmation of a bottom being reached.

In the current climate, I see nothing to indicate we are anywhere near the bottom. I currently only hold one item in my portfolio, purchased on the 9th of June. My exit strategy for that purchase is September/October this year at the earliest.

While I wait, I will occasionally trade the indices up and down. It is more for my personal enjoyment rather than a need. Everyone needs a hobby and the endorphin rush on each success is rather nice.

What exit do you use on the ski slope rise? I've been trying the 10 MA and/or, looking at a weekly chart with Heikin Ashi candles till a big red comes up.

Would love more tools though.
