The use of the word ''satan'' in the OT does not support a supernatural ''Devil'' who acts through people, instead it is adversary itself, someone who opposes, being referred to as ''Satan'' - even God Himself is said to act as an adversary and therefore being a ''Satan'' - which is supported by verses.
