W534220 - A lot of work to setup a data room and for buyers to do due dilligence on the specific asset they are interested in and ask 1001 questions and make lowball offers and hum and hah, discuss leases, discuss fertiliser and contracts with silviculture, harvest and haulage contracts and want to trawl through customer lists and have discussions about price projections and implied values and theoretical yields per hectare and ask 2045 more questions etc. 12 months is a reasonable time frame to sell a diverse range of major forest assets and land parcels located in multiple states unless price is completely irrelevant and you just want to dump it.

Having said that given Elders have said progress is satisfactory and have not come back to say that there will be delays beyond earlier guidance so i guess we should reasonably expect the rest of the forest assets to sell within the 12 month window which is about 2 weeks away!? How long before the half yearly report did they announce the first tranche of forest asset sales? Maybe an announcement soon with either good or bad news on remaining forest asset sales....
