    Good early moving there @rememdium … well done.

    I aim to buy my first EV within 3-5 years and intend to use it for power storage for the home. An average EV already stores enough electricity to power a home for 2-3 days and, with daily trickle recharge, to top up peak periods indefinitely.

    I am already doing 90% of my work from home in these waning Covid times and I am looking at a new business start up to keep me in up to 20hrs per week consulting long into my “retirement”.

    The EV would have ample time to trickle charge during the day and maybe if smart metering becomes available by then we could even suck up some cheap day time renewables over-production from the grid to reduce our need to draw from the grid during peak periods.
