Hamas (and other terrorist groups) are so blinded by cultural hate, (and rewarded financially by the Saudis and Iraq) that they can't see what they are doing to themselves.
This is a characteristic of all terror groups -they can't see that along with their target, they destroy their own cause. Logic takes a holiday when hate comes in to town.
