This was bound to happen, IMO, and maybe just the start.
Given the history of the region, how the House of Saud thought that it could destroy the will of these people is truly amazing.
Yemen's Houthi rebels have been pounded for years with hundreds of thousands dead or injured. Yet their spirit is unbroken.
IMO the Saudis should have learnt from history but it seems no one is capable of doing so. The Americans could not bomb the Vietnamese into submission, nor could their chemical warfare make any difference. They have not been able to subjugate the Afghanis. Their attempts to impose their will on the Iraqis led only to the growing influence of another of their enemies, Iran.
How did the Saudis think they could win in Yemen? Sheer madness, IMO, and will come back to bite them big time!
