You have to realize that free speech is far from the position in Western Countries. Here you cannot slander someone or incite to violence and IMO these are reasonable limitations. In some Western Countries (e.g. Germany) you cannot deny the Holocaust. Whilst IMO the evidence supporting the Holocaust is undeniable, why should someone not be in a position to deny it if that is their view and they can produce evidence to support their case.
What I cannot understand is why someone when a guest in another country should not obey local laws and traditions. If they defy these then they have to take the local penalty.
My problem is with those who shout for free speech and expect to produce cartoons and statements that offend religious values then those same people (or groups) turn around and support something like a ban on denying the Holocaust and see no inconsistency.
