From November 1st 2006, Savage, Bermuda and Quicksilver customers will receive a bonus state of the art security branding system with all forward steer boats. Savage, Bermuda and Quicksilver are not only delivering an exceptional product but are now offering it with a security system as a standard feature.

Brunswick Asia Pacific Boat Group, manufacturer of Savage, Bermuda and Quicksilver has confirmed an agreement with DataDot Technology (Australia) Pty Ltd (DTA) where all forward steer fibreglass and aluminium boats now feature a unique Marine DNA by DataDot. Open Boats/dinghies will have this available as an option through dealers.

Utilising the latest advances in patented microdot spray application, these boats will be supplied with a DataDotDNA Marine Pressure Pak kit containing thousands of tiny dots, all laser etched with a unique DNA code. Almost invisible to the naked eye they are easy to detect under UV light and easy to view under powerful magnification.

Registration of the DataDotDNA code to the Boat’s HIN, the Trailer’s VIN, the Engine Serial Numbers and the owner’s Driver’s Licence will improve the authentication and identification by authorities of all boats and valuable marine accessories protected by DataDotDNA.

Warning decals are supplied to deter thieves upon the registration of the unique DataDotDNA code. Law Enforcement Agencies worldwide are able to verify the true identity of a boat, trailer, engine and even marked accessories to prove ownership.

This initiative by The Brunswick Asia Pacific Boat group will assist in reducing the risk of theft and therefore the cost of boat ownership for their valued customers.
