regardless of the true level of the ocean earth is smart enough to have stored fresh water at both poles and is now melting to restore the balance.

Mankind is that selfish and Elon Musk is that he'll waste billions trying to make it livable on Mars. How about spending the money making earth sustainable first before heating up the planet with every rocket you send into space and spend it on tidal powered generation. No radiation and its kenetic moon and sun work for free.
The ice was white for a reason
to reflect heat. Now the ice is black and melts. and good old black car tyres and fossil fuels are to blame.
as well as Dams as streams and rivers that supply oxygen through flowing and movement. They do jack shit but stagnate when damed.
Allot needs to be done to reverse
the industrial age of burning fossil fuels. But you start in bites and invest in what needs to be invested in for the good of mother nature

But the very thing we burn
coal can make much better solar panels and produce 1000x the energy maybe more depending onnthe lifespane of a graphine solar panel. Through converting coal into graphine and you have less solar radiation from solar panels and are not turning the landscape from green to black as you need less solar panels using Dotz Nano's method of turning coal into graphine. Sucks up around 90% compairef to 30% what we use now.
Roads need to be white not black to reduce heat same with rooftops on houses and roads. we need to think laterally at problems that help just that little bit.
Tyres need to be white not black so rubber dust particles dont help in turning the ice black.
If Elon Musk put as much thought into tidal energy so we can forgo killing rivers in the name of hydro eletricity to run his EV card we would have more time on this planet and less extreme weather. You only need do some research into the closing of the ozone layer during covid 2020 when the world stopped to know how mother nature heals.
The more the ice sheets melt to balance out what mankind is storing in dams. once mankind figures that out. Mother nature will start repairing herself. its that simple.
