I fly domestically twice pretty much every week these days and mostly use Qantas.
When they hand out headsets the plastic bag contains a donation envelope for a Unicef Childrens Fund and there is a collection bin just outside every aerobridge on arrival.
A flight is a good time to contemplate the plight of 3rd world children, the significantly better circumstances for children in mature western economies and the apparent randomness of where a spirit touches land on this earth
All the Qantas appeal asks for is the coins in your pocket ... not a big ask imo and a good cause and no doubt some funding will find its way to the Phillipines in coming weeks and months.
I donate every flight ... I will use a note to buy coffee in the airport before hand to make sure I have a pocket full of change ... I've often added a note these past few weeks.
