Ive always had pets but now I refuse to have any more. Between the Laws, RSPCA and the Vets they have got you sown up.
You cannot ignore your pets health. There are people getting convicted of neglect and cruelty all the time because they did not take their animal to the vet.
If you get a cat or a dog now it will cost probably 10,000 in medical bills at least before it dies.
Including yearly vaccs.
Where I live its lots of ticks and Paralysis ticks. If your dog or cat picks one up it will cost you a minimum of about $300 to get it treated and they insist the animal stays overnight. If you dont realise the animal has a tick for a few days it will cost you at least $500 plus the disposal of the body if it does not survive.
If your pet gets hit by a car, well it could cost $$$$$$$ any amount.
IMO it is emotional blackmail but the system has you sown up right from the start and you have no options.
