Question is, when we are defining an 'astute investor' are we looking more at those who make 100% overnight gains, or 300% annual gains?
One could argue that the overnight multibagger gains are just as much down to speculation as they are to calculated investing. But those who manage to make gains over a longer period of time would be the ones considered 'astute' in my opinion. For example, those who got into AUT this time last year could call themselves astute, but those who jumped into HOR on a hunch could more be considered lucky than anything else, no?
