I agree that reckless punters will lose everything in the SMSFs.
Any fund not locking in a capital preservation strategy ATM will lose IMHO. That fatal tipping points may have been passes as a consequence of Trump's winning policies doesn't mean a quick death. Oscillations often precede a dead cat bounce and there is always possible to take risk off the table for a while.
The colliery to all of this is that Team Trump undoubtedly has a plan to reach a deal so as to come over as a hero to bargain basement voters. My crystal ball is hazy and I can't identify any completely safe asset class.
