Unith introduces new digital humans ahead of self-service Talking Head platform

Artificial intelligence specialist Unith (ASX: UNT) has made further progress with its digital human technology and commercialisation activities as it prepares to launch its self-service Talking Head platform later this year.

The company has introduced three new digital humans into its website for public demonstration and engagement — Aiko (a Unith spokesperson), Laia (a Barcelona tour guide) and Julia (a human resources avatar programmed to guide recruitment conversations).

Scalable module

Aiko (or artificial intelligence knowledge operator) is a scalable module which can be customised by clients to reflect preferred looks, voice and language.

It is powered by GPT (generative pre-training transformer) technology to deliver conversational and contextual answers based on information uploaded by the client such as product catalogues, employee handbooks or business websites.

The Aiko module has been scaled to also generate Laia and Julia with minimal backend involvement from Unith’s developers.

Easy integration

Unith’s digital humans can chat with thousands of customers at once and are available for easy integration into any website.

They operate around-the-clock on any device and record analytics and logs for later use by clients.

Clients can create their own digital human within Unith’s platform from a basic dashboard on the self-service platform to offer sales or support to their own customers.

Progress to date

Chief executive officer Idan Schmorak said he was pleased with the digital human progress to date.

“Our self-service [Talking Head] platform will address a large unmet need for businesses with minimal-to-no tech experience to generate their own digital humans… to achieve this development milestone is a big win for us, with digital humans created from a simple dashboard where users will be able to upload their documents and select their visual and audio preferences,” he said.

“For the user dashboard to be functioning correctly ahead of schedule is a complement to our development team and will assist with our commercialisation strategy of presenting the interface to prospective clients.”
